Kayla Johnson, a 2007 Washington Community High School graduate, was one of 10 University of Nebraska women’s bowlers named earlier this month to the 2010 Fall Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

To qualify, student-athletes must record a GPA of at least 3.0 and participate in a varsity sport.

Johnson, a graphic design and photography major, is a junior at Nebraska.

She was profiled last month in the Daily Nebraskan as the Cornhuskers’ anchor bowler.

Johnson, who has a 300 game and 802 high series to her credit, started collegiately as a bowler at Robert Morris University before attending Illinois Central College.

Nebraska recently won the Morgan State Invitational for the sixth time in the last eight years.

Johnson last year posted a 183 average in six games for the Cornhuskers.
