Washington’s dynamite football season was reflected on the all-Mid-Illini Conference teams.

The second-place Panthers received eight all-league selections, including five on the first team.

Senior center Andrew Gundy, senior wide receiver Chase Catton and junior running back Justin Riley were on the first-team offense.

First-team defenders

included Washington junior lineman Colton Underwood and secondary man Nick Brunk, a senior.

Catton and Underwood both were elevated from their second-team slots in 2007.

Jacob Weston, a senior tackle, and junior quarterback Drew Schlink were members of the conference’s second-team offense.

Senior linebacker Cody Meeks was a second-team all-conference defensive choice.
