Boys gain tie with Limestone

The Washington boys soccer team made Dunlap work for a Mid-Illini Conference victory Sept. 9.

The Eagles used three goals in an 18-minute span to thwart the visiting Panthers, 3-0.

Goalkeepers Mason Masters and Alex Pawlak combined for a handful of saves for Washington.

Although the boys dropped their first two league matches, they have been very competitive. 

WCHS 1, Limestone 1: The Panthers notched a league deadlock Saturday.

Host Washington (3-3-1, 0-2-1) broke a scoreless tie on a Will Doss goal in the 30th minute.

It remained 1-0 until a score in the final moments by the Rockets.

Masters picked up a tie by making five saves in a game that was close statistically.
