Washington snags road victory

Washington topped two boys golf foes Friday in Peoria.

The Panthers shot a 159 at Leo Donovan Golf Course playing the par-36 front nine to outperform Peoria Christian (164) and Tremont (178).

Sam Norbom’s 38 earned the Washington linkster medalist honors by one stroke over  a Charger.

Austin Worner and Ryan Williams had 40s and David Dalfonso carded a 41 in the triangular victory.

The Panther junior-varsity squad, which shot a 168, derailed PC (198) and Tremont (212).

Washington put its 2-0 Mid-Illini Conference mark on the line yesterday when it hosted Limestone at Fairlakes Golf Course.
