Sylvia R. Fuller, 87, of Washington, died at 12:10 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at Washington Christian Village in Washington.
Born July 15, 1921, in Peoria to John H. and Rose (Fischer) Walker, she married Robert D. Fuller June 22, 1941, in Peoria. He died July 22, 1997.
Also preceding her in death were four brothers, David, Wilb, Ray and Elmer Walker; one sister, Esther Keyes; one infant sister, Dorothy; one infant daughter, Carol Joy; and one grandson, Brian.
Surviving are five children, Bobette (Alan) Evans of Washington, Nancy (Lloyd) Workman of Tucson, Ariz., Connie (Ron) Zimmerman of Peoria, Robert Jr. (Sharon) Fuller of Washington and David (Lori) Fuller of Washington; two brothers, Ralph Walker of East Peoria and Herb (Jeanette) Walker of East Peoria; one sister, Mildred (Robert) Weber of Bartonville; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She worked as a bookkeeper at her husband’s business, Washington Electric, for many years.
She was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington, where she was active in numerous committees and functions.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington. The Rev. Thomas Heren will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
