Donald Kellerstrass

Donald Lee Kellerstrass, 70, of Washington, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at his home.

Born June 5, 1938, in Peoria to Ernst and Myrtle A. Hall Kellerstrass, he married Roberta Flowers in Franklin Grove May 14, 1967. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, David (Amy) Kellerstrass of West Peoria, Jim (Susan) Kellerstrass of Washington and Robert (Laura) Kellerstrass of Morton; one daughter, Janet Kellerstrass of Chicago Heights; two brothers, Albert (Amy) Kellerstrass of Springfield and Ernst (Barbara) Kellerstrass of Beaver Creek, Ohio; and six grandchildren.

He retired from Caterpillar Inc., having worked in the auditing department. He also worked at Keystone and International Harvester.

He graduated from Peoria Central High School and earned a business degree from Western Illinois University. He also had attended Bradley University.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Sunnyland and participated in the Fondulac Park District Senior Citizens Group.

Services were Nov. 24, 2008, at Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Rothfusz officiated. Burial was in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.

Visitation was Nov. 23, 2008, at Mason-White Funeral Home and preceding services at the church Monday.
