Wilbur Fecht

Wilbur A. Fecht, 80, of Washington, died at 10:57 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at St. Joseph Nursing Home in Lacon.

Born Dec.22, 1927, in Toluca to G. Frank and Jessie Spangler Fecht, he married Ada Frey Mishler in Metamora June 30, 1956. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Marlene Fecht of Washington; two stepsons, Keith (Jan) Mishler of Washington and Clyde (Dawn) Mishler of East Peoria; one brother, Gerald (Pauline) Fecht of Toluca; two sisters, Florence (Bob) Wasson of Astoria, and Oregon (Irma) Holland of Toluca; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He was retired from Morton Buildings, where he worked as a truck driver.

He was a former member of Washington Christian Church and also a former member of the Washington Rescue Squad.

Services were Wednesday at Mason-White Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Browning will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
