Ronald C. Morse, 52, of Washington, passed away at his home Friday evening, July 18, 2008.

Born April 23, 1956, in Canton to Lucian C. and Ruth Dell Nichols Morse, he married Debra Shaw in Washington July 11, 1981. She survives.

Also surviving is one daughter, Jessica (Chanse) Coghill of Lacon; one grandson; and three sisters, Roberta (Larry) Durbin of Sun City, Ariz., Marilyn “Sue” (Ken) Fleisher of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Reta Ulm of Washington.

He was a senior development engineer with Caterpillar Inc., where he started working 34 years ago. He worked downtown in the LC Building.

He was a 1974 graduate of Farmington High School. He also completed the Electrician Apprenticeship Program with Caterpillar and was a 1995 graduate of Illinois Central College.

He was a member of the Peoria Camera Club.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, where he was a member. The Rev. John Bates will officiate.

Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
