Sandra L. Isbell, 52, of Washington, died at 12:09 a.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at her home.

Born May 30, 1956, in Peoria to Everett and Juanita Fulk Bailey, she married Doyle W. Isbell May 21, 1977, in Washington. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents, Everett and Juanita Bailey of Creve Coeur; one son, Andrew (Jennifer) Isbell of Hampstead, N.C.; one daughter, Valerie (Jim) Miller of Elverson, Pa.; and one brother, Les (Dori) Bailey of Peoria.

She was a training supervisor at AmerenCILCO, where she worked for 30 years. She also was a computer teacher at Midstate College in Peoria. She was a graduate of the University of Illinois-Springfield.

She also volunteered with Peoria Habitat for Humanity, where she served as a family sponsor, and with the Women for Women International Organization.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Creve Coeur.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. Kevin Dell will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.

Memorials may be made to Peoria Habitat for Humanity or the Washington Rescue Squad.
