Dorothy Koch

WASHINGTON – Dorothy J. Koch, 89, died at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Snyder Village in Metamora.

Born Feb. 16, 1919, in Benson to Cornelius and Anna Bauman Janssen, she married Merton Koch in Roanoke June 28, 1941. He died Feb. 19, 2001, in Peoria.

Also preceding her in death were three brothers and six sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Elaine) Koch of Washington and  David   (Luanne) Koch of Cantril, Iowa; one brother, Willis “Bud” (Carol) Janssen of Benson; one sister, Lena Kirby of Memphis, Mo.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. June 3 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. The Rev. Alice Gwin will officiate.

Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mason-White Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
