Mary Blumenshine

WASHINGTON –  Mary S. Blumenshine, 98, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka.

Born June 12, 1909, in Tioga, Texas to James and Ada Lee Baxter Hensley, she married Ralph E. Blumenshine  Oct. 22, 1930, in Durant, Okla. He died April 30, 1982, in Peoria.

Surviving are one son, Billy (Pat) Blumenshine of The Woodlands, Texas; one daughter, Nelda (Robert) McCallister of Washington; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

She worked as a bookkeeper for McKesson & Robbins in Peoria, retiring in 1972 after 32 years.

She was a member of Washington Christian Church.

Services were April 26 at Mason-White Funeral Home. The Rev. Bill Vandervoort officiated.

Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
