CROSSVILLE, TENN. – Irl E. Farden Jr., 64, formerly of Washington, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.

He was born Dec. 16, 1943, in Laplata, Mo., to Irl and Margret Farden.

Surviving are his wife, Marva; two sons, William (Michelle) of Washington and Todd (Tami) of East Peoria; two stepsons, Stephen (Christine) Craft of Marquette Heights and Brett (Andrea) Craft of Pekin; 11 grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild.

He was a member of Love Freeewill Baptist Church in Crossville, where he was the music director.

He was also a member of the Crossville Lions Club, where he served as district governor from 2006-07. He and his wife moved to Crossville after he retired from Caterpillar Inc. after 37 years of service.

Services were April 7 at Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington.

Burial was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, south of Washington. Dowice Ashley officiated.

Visitation was April 6 at the funeral home.
