Brenda Hartman

Brenda J. Hartman, 45, died at 10:43 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at her residence.

Born June 26, 1962, in Peoria to Larry F. and Shirley A. Realford Holmes, she married Dennis J. Hartman Oct. 11, 1980, in Washington. He survives. 

Surviving are her parents, Larry and Shirley Holmes of Washington; her maternal grandparents, Sheral and Lavern Chance of Metamora; two sons, Jason L. (Stefanie Tigue) Hartman of Rolla, Mo., and Chad R. Hartman of Washington; one brother, Larry F. (Sheree) Holmes Jr. of Simpsonville, S.C.; and one sister, Sherry (Perry) Darling of Austin, Texas.

She was currently working in the office of Dr. Sfeir, an endocrinologist at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

Growing up, she played softball with NTRA, where she later served as a board member.

She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Evangelical Church in Washington for more than 35 years. She was involved with the Via de Cristo movement, and was a member of the board for the Faith Lutheran Child Care Center.

Services were Feb. 11 at Faith Lutheran Evangelical Church in Washington. The Rev. John Rothfusz officiated.
