A Peoria County coroner’s jury determined the death of a Washington woman to be accidental during a May 8 inquest.

Veda G. Rodgers, 79, is reported to have died from a refractory shock caused by either a clot embolus from the left main artery or air embolus sustained Feb. 22 during coronary angiography at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

According to a report from the Peoria County Coroner’s Office, Rodgers also suffered from a myocardial infarction (heart attack), coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus, chronic leukocytosis, severe chronic deconditioning and supraventricular tachycardia.
