Washington police arrested Michael D. Wiese, 41, 402 Daniel Parkway, for attempted robbery and battery at about 11 p.m. March 7.

According to police, Wiese entered Christy’s Place, 1221 Peoria St., and approached someone he knew.

Deputy Chief Don Volk said Wiese reportedly to say he was taking the victim’s watch and then attempted to rip the watch’s off the man’s wrist.

A couple of bystanders and the tavern owner broke up the confrontation, Volk said, and Wiese left.

Police were called, and, after looking for Wiese, found him at Kep’s Place Sports Bar & Grill, 313 Muller Road.

Officers transported Wiese to Tazewell County Justice Center in Pekin.

According to the report, before Wiese got out of the car, he urinated all over the backseat and cage.

Volk said one count of criminal damage to state supported property was then added to the charges.
