DENVER AND THE MILE HIGH ORCHESTRA will be in concert at 7 p.m. March 30 at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. The group is a 12-piece orchestra Christian big band that was recently featured on the Fox TV show "The Next Great American Band," where they not only competed, but placed third overall in the competition. Experience the ensemble's "musical buffet of swing, jazz, R & B and funk all rolled up into one big band package. STAMPIN UP! will have aYear of Cards rubber stamping event from 9 a.m.-noon April 12 at Five Points Washington. The event is open to novice and seasoned stampers. Participants will make a hand-stamped card for every month of the year, each with a different theme. Door prizes will be awarded, along with the opportunity to win a basket of stamping items valued at $75. The cost is $20 for 12 cards with envelopes or $30 for 24 cards with envelopes. SECOND ANNUAL MEN'S WORKSHOP will be from 8:30 a.m.- noon April 26 Community Bible Church. This year's theme is "Being a Man that Pleases God." There will be two sessions, "What's a Guy to Do?" and "He's the Boss." This year's speaker is Dan Nave, the field director of Midwest Church Extension. Registration and refreshments will be from 8:30-9 a.m. Session one will be from 9-10:15 a.m. Fellowship and refreshments will be from 10:15-10:45 a.m. Session two will be from 10:45 a.m.-noon followed by lunch. "IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE" Ladie's Night Out will be from 5:30-9:30 p.m. April 3 at Five Points Washington. Presented by Lindy's Downtown Market, there will be wine tasting, food recipes andsampling, women's exhibits, chocolate martinis, prizes and giveaways.
