WASHINGTON — A home in the northern part of the city was destroyed by a fire Wednesday night.

Washington firefighters were joined by firefighters from the Northern Tazewell, Morton, Metamora and Eureka-Goodfield departments in fighting the blaze at 701 Landau Lane.

Sources said there were no injuries, but the 2,419-square-foot home, built in 2001, is a total loss.

The two-story, three-bedroom home with an attached garage is east of North Main Street, off North Street.
