PEORIA — Bradley University has been named the state's fifth-best program for training registered nurses, according to a five-year evaluation of 78 accredited nursing programs in Illinois.

The rankings, released by RegisteredNursing.org, evaluate passing rates for first-time test-takers on a registered nursing exam, and give heavier weighting to results in more recent years in the past five.

Other area schools on the top 20 list include Illinois State University, ranked eighth; Graham Hospital School of Nursing in Canton, ranked 11th; Heartland Community College in Normal, ranked 12th; and Illinois Wesleyan College in Bloomington, ranked 18th.
