PEKIN — A Pekin man and music teacher was arrested Tuesday in Normal for allegedly sexually assaulting a preteen, according to authorities.
The Bloomington Police Department said Aaron M. Parlier, 36, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Warriner Street by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force. He was booked on charges of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and criminal sexual assault, the news release said.
Parlier had given piano lessons to children at many places throughout the Bloomington-Normal area over the last several years, according to the news release. Bloomington police are asking that anyone who may have been a piano student of Parlier and believe they could have been a victim to contact the department.
