PEORIA — The rock band Goo Goo Dolls will embark on a nationwide tour in the fall, including a stop at the Peoria Civic Center on Nov. 5.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 26, and are available online at Ticketmaster or at the Civic Center's box office.

Goo Goo Dolls is a multi-platinum, four-time Grammy-nominated rock band that was formed in Buffalo, NY, during 1986 by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac. Its upcoming tour is in support of their forthcoming 12th studio album “Miracle Pill” that will be released on Sept. 13 via Warner Records. Their hit “Iris” took No. 1 on the Hot 100 for 18 straight weeks and was named “No. 1 Top 40 Song of the Last 20 Years,” among a number of other accomplishments.

The tour kicks off in Texas on Oct. 25 and will visit 20 other cities across North America with several South American tour dates prior to the fall. The Unlikely Candidates, an indie rock band, will also perform at the Peoria show.
