Pony team drubs Bloomington/Normal

On June 7, the Washington HOI Pony team faced the Springfield Astros in the Limestone Tournament.

Jeremy Piers and Charlie Ludolph combined to pitch six innings. Piers gave up ten runs on 11 hits, with three walks and two strikeouts.  Ludolph came in and gave up no runs on two hits, two strikeouts and one walk.

Isaac Fisher was 2-for-4 with a home run.

The Panthers then rebounded to beat the Bloomington/Normal Wildcats, 11-1.

Grant Glick pitched a complete game. He gave up just three hits and one run, did not walk any and struck out four.

Dakota Bullard was 2-for-2 with four runs scored, while Zach Little was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI.

Fisher led the way, going 3-for-4, all of which were doubles, with four RBI.

On June 10, the HOI Panthers played just their second home game of the season against Oneida. 

Josiah Rose, Ludolph, Tim Wood and Zack Skulte combined to give up three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out nine.

Little was 1-for-1 with a sacrifice and three RBI, while Ludolph was 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBI.

Skulte was 3-for-3 as the Panthers won, 16-3.
