The Washington wrestling team strengthened its grip on the Mid-Illini Conference race.
The Panthers improved to 4-0 in the league with a pair of lopsided home victories Thursday.
Washington slammed Metamora, 63-12, and Limestone, 50-15, in their first M-I action since Dec. 11.
Austin Wileman, Travis Rice, Earl Born, Colton Gladwell, Derek McIntosh, Jake Lamb, Mason Wright and Dan Massengill all won twice for the Panthers.
Brandon Rice, Trevor Craig, Dennis Zeller, Dylan Reel, Keil Dossett, Zach Sievers and Trevor Fuerst also won for Washington, which lost only five of the combined 28 bouts on the night.
The Panthers remained in the No. 16 position as a team in the Illinois Matmen Class 2A state rankings.

The Panthers earned 10th-place status Saturday among 222 teams with 101.5 points.
Reel improved to 28-1 on the year with a title in 160.
He pinned his first two foes, Kyle Kelley-Carter of Chicago St. Ignatius and Tolono Unity’s Garrett Reveal.
In the semifinals, Reel produced a 24-8 technical fall against Sandwich’s Nolan Gipe.
Reel achieved top billing with a 10-4 victory over Colby Dolliger of Kankakee McNamara.
Brandon Rice (23-5) was third in 125. He shook off his lone loss of the tournament by dispatching Rudy Guthrie of Elmhurst York in the last bout in a 23-8 tech fall.
Wright (14-3) split four matches to place fourth in 152.
The other Washington top-eight finisher was Gladwell (14-6), who was fifth in 130 after attaining four victories in the bracket.
Born, McIntosh, Lamb, Craig and Massengill were among the Panthers who also provided a win.
New Lenox Lincoln-Way Central won the title with 149 points, 6.5 more than York. No school had more than two individual champions.
