The Washington Community High School football scrimmages Saturday were followed by the second annual 12th Man Hog Roast for everyone in attendance.
Tom and Karen Schrock donated the hog for the roasting for the second year in a row.
Brian Bell donated his talents cooking the specially-seasoned pulled pork for all the players, coaches, parents and fans.
Julie Reneau and a host of volunteers helped set up, serve, and clean up.
The WCHS varsity, sophomore and freshman football players put on their pads and took part in the first full-contact intrasquad scrimmage of the 2008 season at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The football players have been practicing three times a day since Aug. 13. The season opener is Aug. 29.
