East Peoria graduate Kylie Giebelhausen of Southern Illinois was a repeat first-team selection on the All-Missouri Valley Conference women's basketball team, and Bradley scoring leader Gabi Haack was named to the All-Freshman Team.
The Valley announced its all-conference selections Wednesday, one day before the league tournament begins at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline.
Giebelhausen, a 6-foot-1 senior guard, also earned a spot on the five-player All-Defensive Team. She is the fifth player in SIU history to repeat as a first-team All-MVC player.
Bradley's Haack averages 10.0 points per game and is second on the Braves with 5.9 rebounds per game. The 5-10 guard tied a program record with eight 3-pointers against Western Illinois in her first career start.
The versatile Giebelhausen (11.6 ppg, 4.8 rpg) ranks among the MVC's top 20 in eight statistical categories. Defensively, she is one of just two league players to rank among the top 10 in both steals (1.1) and blocks (1.4).
Illinois State had three players honored. Senior Hannah Green (12.8 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.0 bpg) was chosen to the 11-player all-MVC first team, while junior Simone Goods (13.7 ppg, 6.0 rpg) received honorable mention. The Redbirds' Paige Saylor (6.3 ppg, 2.7 apg, 2.5 spg) was the only player named to both the All-Defensive Team and the All-Freshman Team.
Award winners in six specialty categories, including Player and Coach of the Year, will be announced Thursday.
