DAKOTA — Princeville snapped a four-game first-round postseason losing streak in dramatic fashion on Saturday in the Class 1A football playoffs.

Justin Janssen's 3-yard touchdown in double overtime lifted the Princes to a 27-24 victory against No. 7 seed Dakota.

Dakota (7-3) had the first possession of the second overtime and took a 24-21 lead on a Mason Peters field goal.

Princeville (8-2), the No. 10 seed, scored a pair of Adam Snedden third-quarter touchdowns to go ahead 14-7. Snedden caught a 3-yard TD pass, then bolted 64 yards for the second score.

Dakota tied the game in the fourth quarter on an 11-yard TD pass from Kyle Bordner.

In the first overtime, Snedden caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Matt Butterfield. Dakota countered with a 7-yard TD run.

"Defense played greaet all game long," said Princeville coach Jon Carruthers. "(We) really challenged the boys at halftime to step up and they did."

Elsewhere: Annawan/Wethersfield freshman quarterback Coltin Quagliano passed for three touchdowns — two to Ben Buresh — and ran for another to lead the No. 2 seed Titans (9-1) to a 31-14 victory against Orangeville. ... Rahveon Valentine rushed for 176 yards and scored three TDs to lead top seed Lena-Winslow to a 55-20 victory against Stark County (5-5). Gaige Schwartz also ran for 139 and two scores for Le-Win (10-0). Payton Browning ran for 113 yards for Stark County, which trailed 49-8 at the half. ... Milledgeville jumped out to a fast start and knocked off No. 9 seed Abingdon-Avon (7-3) 56-21. Fourth-seeded Stockton (8-2) eliminated North Fulton (6-4), 36-6.
