The Washingon Community High School Board of Education wishes to extend our thanks to all school staff and residents of the community who gave so generously their time, effort and even monetary contributions toward our recent building referendum.

We especially acknowledge the co-leaders, Kenna Pope and Matt Martin, team captains and members who served on the official referendum committee, as well as all those from the community who took part in the several public input sessions or building tours prior to the April vote.

We further thank those voters, no matter which position they reflected, who took the time to go to the April polls and cast their ballots. Board members are elected by the local registered citizens to represent them and have those members deal with sometimes difficult and complicated issues. It is important that the board remain open and available to all residents as we continue to carefully study and address educational and facility needs at WCHS that incorporate, yet extend beyond, the life/health/safety needs that are currently under consideration.
