Lacon — Charles J. Felker, 87, of Lacon, formerly of Washington and Magnolia, died at 9:35 p.m., Monday, July 12, 2010, at his home.
Born June 8, 1923, in Washington to John and Minnie King Felker, he married Vera Burnham July 11, 1942, in Palmyra, Mo. She died Oct. 23, 2005, in Magnolia.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Terry Lee Felker who died Dec. 14, 1988, near Eureka.
Surviving are one daughter, Pamela (Cal) Kaufman of Lacon; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
He worked for many years in the body shop at Garber Ford in Washington. He later worked for and retired from Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, Calif.
Services will be 6 p.m. Friday at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. The Rev. Jeff Browning will officiate.
Mason-White Funeral Home is assisting the family in arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be made to either Methodist Hospice or American Cancer Society.
