Anthony D. Antonacci, 93, of Washington, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at Washington Christian Village in Washington.
Born Feb. 4, 1917, in Toluca, to Dominic and Concetta Bartolomucci Antonacci, he married Elizabeth J. Kemp Jan. 9, 1954, in Peoria. She died March 11, 2010, in Peoria.
He was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Surviving are three children; Jim (Marilyn) Antonacci of St. Louis, Ed (Antoinette) Antonacci of Fontana, Calif., and Rosemary (Dave) Marion of Mt. Carmel; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Antonacci worked at Hiram Walker Distillery. He later completed the apprenticeship program at Caterpillar Tractor Co., and then the day after the attack at Pearl Harbor, Tony joined the U.S. Navy.
After World War II, he returned to Caterpillar Tractor Co. where he worked as a tooling investigator and a buyer in the Purchasing Department for 37 years, retiring in 1979.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. The Rev. Joseph P. Donton will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria.
