WASHINGTON — J. Randy Jordan, 54, of Washington died at 11:06 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2010, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
He was born Feb. 3, 1956, in Peoria, to JP and Bobbie Jordan.
Surviving are his fiancée and partner of 21 years, Christina Schmitt; his daughter, Heather Jordan of Bartonville; step-son, Shane Schmitt of Washington; his sister, Lisa (Jack) Johnson of Lexington, Tenn.; and many other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, JP Jordan, and his mother and stepfather, Bobbie (John) Burgess.
He was a 1974 graduate of Limestone High School. He was in the building industry for 30+ years, last working for the Affiliated Home Center in Morton.
He had been a volunteer fireman in Bartonville, and was active in the Peoria Home Builders Association as well as the American Poolplayers Association.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. The Rev. Joey Watt will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 30, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
Memorials may be made to the Randy Jordan Memorial Fund in care of CEFCU.
