John F. Powell, 57, of Washington, died at 1:07 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, at BroMenn Healthcare in Normal.
Born Dec. 18, 1952 in Peoria to John W. and Margie Bowers Powell, he married Patrice C. Johnson April 22, 1978, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John E. (Alicia) Powell of Leroy and Tim Powell of Washington; and two daughters, Oceanna Powell and Elizabeth Powell, both of Washington.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Violet Marie Sisk; and an infant brother, Frankie Powell.
He was employed by Mitsubishi Motors until retiring.
Services were Sunday at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home. Cremation rites were accorded following the services, and inurnment will be at a later date at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to an educational fund for his daughters, c/o Morton Community Bank.
