Betty J. Sherman, 77, of Washington, formerly of Peoria, died at 9:37 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Washington Christian Village.
She was born April 27, 1933, in Rushville, to Mary and Ivan Icenoggle and was raised by Sam and Susan Marinch. They preceded her in death.
She married Charles J. Sherman in June of 1954 in Peoria. He also preceded her in death in 1997.
Surviving are one daughter, Debbie Sherman; and one son, Rick Sherman, both of Washington.
She was a waitress at local restaurants and last worked at J.C. Penney.
Cremations rites will be accorded, and there will be no visitation or services. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
