Lindell R. McGinnis, 65, of Washington, died at 7:58 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
Born March 20, 1944, in Massac County to Clarence and Orphia Howard McGinnis, he married Vera Helm Nov. 30, 1963, in Massac County. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Barbara (Paul) Fiedler of Roodhouse; one son, Ken (LeeAnn) McGinnis of Bloomington; one brother, Howard (Thelma) McGinnis of Canton; and four grandchildren.
McGinnis worked for more than 20 years as a machinist for E.M. Smith in Peoria, then later for B.F. Goodrich in Henry.
Services were Saturday at Mason-White Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Balthis officiated. Visitation was prior to the service.
Burial was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
