Bolingbrook, Ill. -

BOLINGBROOK ­– Leslie Jo (Bucher) Aschliman, 32, formerly of Washington, died at 9:15 pm Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood.

Born March 18, 1976, to Steven and Vicki (Aschliman) Bucher of Washington, she married Tyson J. Aschliman March 2, 2002, in Indianapolis. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, T.J. (Tyson Jay); her parents, Steven and Vicki Bucher of Washington; three brothers, Chris (Margaret) Bucher of Indianapolis, Dan and Cody Bucher of Washington; one sister, Dana (Curt) Anliker of Wheaton; and her maternal grandparents, Robert and Ida Aschliman of Bluffton, Ind.

She was a graduate of Washington Community High School and Taylor University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology.

She later graduated from Honors Cosmotology School in Indianapolis and worked as a cosmotologist prior to beginning a family.

She was a member of Crosstown Church in Bolingbrook.

She battled cancer since the discovery of a sinus tumor in October 2007.

A private family service will be in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.

Services will be in Washington, Archbold, Ohio, and Bolingbrook, in upcoming weeks.

As a means of keeping family and friends updated on their journey with this disease, Tyson and Leslie initiated a blog site on MySpace and also a blog site http://www.forleslie.blogspot.com.

The Web site soon took on a life of its own serving to inform, encourage and challenge each one who read it in their personal walk with Christ.

Details of the memorial services are intended to be posted on this Web site once dates are set.

Memorias may be made to Central Illinois Riding Therapy or the Tyson Jay Aschliman educational fund at Heartland Bank 130 S. Main Street, Washington, IL 61571 or any area branch.

Deiters Funeral Home in Washington is helping the family with local arrangements.
