J.D. Floyd, 68, of Washington, died at 8:45 a.m. Feb. 12, 201,0 at his home.
He was born Dec. 12, 1941, in Hazen, Ark., to Festus and Iva Jenkins Floyd.
Surviving are one son, Keith (Joyce) Floyd of Washington; two daughters, Gina Craig of East Peoria and Cheryl (Ken) Calef of Dennard, Ark.; three sisters, Ruth Kee of Hazen, Mildred Cox of Jacksonville, Ark., and Jeffie (Pasco) Zarlingo of West Memphis, Tenn.; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
He retired from Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, where he worked for 30 years, and also retired from the Peoria Journal Star after working 20 years as a driver.
Services were Tuesday at Mason-White Funeral Home. Dale Pittenger officiated. Visitation was Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday. Burial followed in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
