Velda I. Venegonia, 83, of Washington, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010, at her residence.
 Born Feb. 11, 1927, in Peoria to John and Olive Russell Blumenstock, she married Francis J. Venegonia May 28, 1949, in East Peoria. He died April 12, 2006, in Washington.
 Surviving are four daughters, Vicki (Ed) Orr of East Peoria, Peggy (Jaime) Avila of The Villages, Fla., Nancy McNeil of Pekin and Mary Venegonia of Washington; three sons, Joe (Judy) Venegonia of Pekin, Mark (Lori) Venegonia of Springfield and Dan (Cindy) Venegonia of Washington; two sons-in-law, Joe Malek of Lombard and Ron Reavley of Washington; 24 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
 She was preceded in death by six brothers and two daughters, Linda Malek and Sue Reavley.
Services were Sunday at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. The Rev. Joseph P. Donton officiated. Visitation was prior to services at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria at a later date.
 Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice Compassus.
