Eureka — Mary Foster, 87, of Eureka, died at 4:32 p.m., Tuesdy, June 22, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born May 4, 1923, in LaHarpe to Harold and Mamie Shutwell Negley, she married Joseph E. Foster June 26, 1948. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Steven (Aleshia) Foster of Washington; two daughters, Mary Jo (Dennis) Musick of Secor and Pauline Pierson of Morton; two sisters, Clara (Kenneth) Sallee of Hamilton, and Mildred Turpening of Louisville, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant grandson and three sisters.
She was co-owner of Foster’s Jewelry in Washington and Eureka with her husband for many years and helped in the day to day operations of the family business.
She worked as an R.N. in the Peoria area for more than 15 years before joining the family business full time.
Services will be Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Mason-White Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor John Hauck officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
