Alice Mary Comstock-Conibear, 93, living at The Estates of Carpenters, in Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Morton, died Friday, March 25, 2016. 

She was born in Buffalo Lake, Minn., to Lawrence and Verna Comstock on Jan. 18, 1923. 

Alice moved to Lakeland, Fla., from Illinois in October 1980. She was an artist and needlewomen, having won many awards in both fields. She was a member of D.O. in PEO and Past President of Chapter E.E. in Morton. She was a hospital volunteer and member of the Republic Womens Club and the First United Methodist Church. She sang in the Cathedral Choir and was on the Alter Guild and a member of Circle 15 of United Methodist Women.

She was a homemaker married to Robert Charles Conibear, who preceded her in death in 1986. Alice was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Charles Conibear.

Alice is survived by her three children, Camellia Paulin of Albany, Ga., Cecellia Clifton of Cocoa, Fla., and Timothy Conibear, Los Asos, Calif.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m. at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
