Former Alaskan governor-turned-political celebrity, Sarah Palin, will visit Washington this spring to share her leadership experiences.
The announcement was made Monday morning at Five Points Washington, where she will give her presentation April 17 titled, “You don’t need a title to make a difference.”
“Whether you are for her or against her, she has a lot to offer from a leadership standpoint,” said
Washington Mayor Gary Manier. “It’s an exciting day for Washington.”
Palin will be the inaugural speaker for the series, “Lessons from Leaders, a series of contemporary speakers at Five Points Washington.”
Her visit will include a reception, banquet and theater presentation. Tickets for the banquet went on sale directly after the announcement, and the theater presentation tickets will be available at noon Wednesday.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be used for the Washington Area Community Center capital fund and to create new scholarships for area youth.
