Obituary: JoAnn Elliott, 75, of Washington

WASHINGTON — JoAnn Elliott, 75, of Washington died at 1:42 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born March 17, 1936, in Hope, Ark., to Raymond and Erma Bonner Rice, she married John E. Elliott May 19, 1957, in Peoria; he preceded her in death Oct. 10, 1985 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are two sons, Aaron (Tammy) Elliott of East Peoria and Troy (Jill) Elliott of Washington and two granddaughters.

She graduated in 1955 from Manual High School in Peoria. She worked as a bookkeeper for Peoria Cartage and worked in the mailroom at Foster & Gallagher in the late 70s. S

he was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church and a past member of Creve Coeur Christian Church.

Visitation will be from 9:30–10:30 a.m. Saturday at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. 

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. The Rev. Evan Williams will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Foster Pet Outreach or Sunnyland Christian Church.
