Washington Fire Department vehicles lead the funeral procession for Dana Frantz April 14. Frantz was a long-time member of the fire department and was also very active with the Northern Tazewell Recreation Association. and the Washington and Fondulac park districts sports programs. In addition to Washington’s trucks, there were vehicles from several area fire departments, including Northern Tazewell, Eureka, Roanoke and Morton. Washington Fire Chief Mike Vaughn said the procession of emergency vehicles through town was repeated April 15 in honor of Paul Lukavich who was a retired chief of the Washington Rescue Squad and also a member of the Tazewell County Firefighters Association.
