PEORIA — A Washington man died Thursday night when his semitrailer overturned near the interchange of Interstate 74 and Interstate 155.

Tazewell County Coroner Brian Foley announced after an autopsy Friday that Jason York, 46, died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head. A toxicology screen was ordered and is pending. The coroner said no other injuries were apparent.

Information on whether he was wearing a seat belt wasn't released.

According to Foley, the semitrailer was on westbound I-74 when it rolled over as it was attempting to navigate a ramp onto southbound I-155.

No one else was in the vehicle, and no other injuries were reported.

The Illinois State Police and the Tazewell coroner continue to investigate the accident. State police closed the ramp down for several hours Thursday night as they were investigating the crash.
