PEORIA — Susan Wozniak has been appointed as interim executive director at Heartland Health Services, replacing Charles Bandoian, who has been the executive director since 2015.

Heartland representatives declined to discuss why Bandoian has vacated the position.

Wozniak is a longtime supporter of health services in the Peoria area and has extensive experience in administration. She served as executive vice president and chief operating officer for 10 years at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center. Since retiring from that role, she has served as the interim president of Children’s Hospital of Illinois and has performed various consulting services.

The search for a permanent CEO will begin in the coming weeks.
