A 20-year-old Pekin man was sentenced Friday to his second four-year prison term with his third conviction of a drug offense.

Logan Highley possessed 4 1/2 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver when an officer, suspecting he’d just made a drug purchase, stopped him last October on Parkway Drive. He said he planned to sell the drug to repay the man who had just “fronted” it to him.

Highley had been on parole since August from the prison term he received in 2016 for possessing prescription pills while on probation for a previous meth-related conviction.
