EAST PEORIA — Fondulac District Library joins more than a thousand libraries across the country and around the world for the tenth annual celebration of gaming in libraries – International Games Week. The library will offer special gaming programs and events suitable for the whole family on Nov. 4, 2017, from 12 to 4 p.m.
The event features a “vintage to current” videogame arcade with games spanning decades, an Oculus Rift virtual reality experience, Minecraft, and more. Board and card games for all ages will be available to play, including life-size board games, such as “KerPlunk” and “Connect Four.” Prize drawings are scheduled to take place on the hour.
International Games Week is an international initiative supported by the American Library Association, the Australian Library and Information Association, L’Associazione Italiana Biblioteche, and Nordic Game Week.
