PEKIN — A Pekin man and his wife now share four-year prison terms for stealing a purse at a family party and possessing heroin.

Lee Frantz, 29, was sentenced this week after pleading guilty to a vehicle burglary in which he and Haley Heilman, 23, stole Heilman’s grandmother’s purse, then went on a $500 shopping spree with the victim’s credit cards.

Frantz, of 603 N. 11th St., also received a one-year term he’ll serve concurrently for violating his probation for heroin possession that he received about a week before the burglary last May.

Heilman was sentenced last September to three years for the burglary and an additional year for possessing a small packet of heroin last August.
