PEKIN — A young Deer Creek man allegedly conducted a lucrative marijuana sales business until police raided his home late last month.
They found more than 1 1/4 pounds of the drug and $5,543 in cash, along with two grams of cocaine, in the home of Brandon Baker, 20, at 311 McKinley St., according to charges filed this week.
An investigation produced a search warrant for the home Baker shares with two other men, one of whom said he was aware that Baker was selling marijuana, according to a prosecutor’s court affidavit. The drugs and cash were found in Baker’s bedroom.
Baker posted a $1,000 cash bond Wednesday pending his next court appearance Jan. 26 on charges of possessing more than 500 grams of marijuana with intent to deliver and possessing cocaine.
