1941 - 2016
Bonnie J. Lawson, 75, of Manito, passed away at 8:43 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2016, at Pekin Hospital.
She was born Sept. 10, 1941, in Golconda, Ill., the daughter of James and Mary Joyner Collins. She married Earl Lawson Dec. 19, 1983, in Missouri and he survives.
Bonnie has three daughters, Merry Eccles of Nashville, Tenn., Christle (Gary) Eccles of Peoria and Kelly (Terry) Flairty of Manito; three sons, Mike Eccles of Pasadena, Texas, Brad Eccles of Washington and Jason Eccles of Maysville, Iowa; two stepdaughters, Autumn Thompson of Pekin and Rhonda Perkins of Greeley, Colo.; one stepson, Randy (Karen) Lawson of Missouri City, Texas. She has 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many great and step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Bonnie worked for Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, and later in Mossville and Morton, on the assembly line. She retired in 2004. She taught sign language at the Averyville Baptist Church in East Peoria for several years.
Cremation will be accorded. A visitation is planned for the family from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Maas-Hurley Funeral Home in Manito.
