A 22-year-old Peoria man will be sentenced next month for having sex with a teenaged girl who had plotted with him to run away from home.
Brendin Duchesne was registered as a sex offender as a juvenile, according to court records. That could increase the maximum seven-year prison term he’ll face when he’s sentenced Jan. 26 for aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a juvenile at least 5 years younger than him.
Duchesne pleaded guilty Monday to having sex with the girl after the latter was reported missing from her East Peoria home last January. He said the two had planned to run away together.
He remains free on $2,500 cash bond pending his sentencing.
