The Tremont boys basketball team mixed inside shooting with outside shooting on the way to a 79-42 non-conference win over the Delavan Panthers Tuesday night in Delavan.
Max Bolliger scored 22 points for the Turks, Conor Honan added 14 and Jordan Wagenbach scored 10 points.
The Turks (8-0) led 32-20 at halftime on the way to a victory. Delavan (3-3) got 13 from Noah Jeckel and Tyler Perry each.
Tremont outscored Delavan 27-13 in the third quarter to break the game open.
Illini Bluffs 90, North Fulton 51
Taylor Bruninga scored 33 points, recorded 14 rebounds, five blocks and four assists in Illini Bluffs’ 90-51 win over North Fulton.
Brock Bower scored 16 points for the Tigers (5-2) and Braden Cox added 10 points.
Illini Bluffs led 55-25 at halftime behind 24 first-half points from Bruninga.
Midwest Central 65, South Fulton 56
Brendan Schumm knocked down seven 3-pointers for Midwest Central (4-2) in the Raiders’ 65-56 win over South Fulton Tuesday. He scored a game-high 23 points and the Raiders got 17 points from Nathan Wagle in the win. Midwest Central outscored South Fulton 25-6 in the third quarter. The Raiders trailed 37-25 at halftime.
Grant Downin scored a team-high 19 points for the Rebels and Seth Hammond added 17 points.
The first state rankings of the boys and girls basketball season were released Monday. The Tremont boys basketball team rank No. 8 in Class 2A after jumping out to a 6-0 start on the season. Peoria Manual ranks No. 3 in Class 3A.
The back-to-back defending Class 3A state champion Morton Lady Potters are ranked No. 6 in the initial polls.
