DANCE DAY 1-4 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Performing Arts Center of Illinois Central College, East Peoria. AUTHOR/HOUSE PROSECUTOR TO SPEAK 3 p.m. Feb. 6 at main library at Five Points. David Ellis, author of “The Hidden Man,” will discuss his literary work and job as legal counsel to Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan, and the assignment to serve as house prosecutor for the impeachment of former Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich.

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4, Washington District Library in the library meeting room. The featured movie will be “A Charlie Brown Valentine.” Free to the public.

SUPER BOWL SILENT AUCTION through Feb. 6, main library at Five Points. Highest bidder will win bowl or basket. All proceeds go to the Washington District Library’s collection, programs and children’s department.

Storytime at the Library Storytime for young children, ages 3-6, will be offered at the Washington District Library, 380 N. Wilmor Rd. at Five Points beginning the first week in February. Call the library, 444-2241 for more info and to register.

DISTRICT 50 MUSIC BOOSTERS ANNUAL SPAGHETTI DINNER 4-7 p.m. Feb. 6 at John L. Hensey School gym on Almond Street in Washington. All-you-can-eat dinner is $5 for adults and $3 for kids 10 and under.  The band and choir will perform.

RYAN BATES GAME DAY TOURNAMENT 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 6 at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington featuring Wii video games and bean bag tournament. Money collected at the tournament will be donated toward a handicapped accessible playground in memory of Ryan Bates, who lost his battle with leukemia at the age of 20.
